Managed Servers
Harbour MSP can monitor, manage and report on each server, to you, in real
time. Our Service Assurance Centre, within the Network Operations Centre,
can monitor trends and advise you when memory is inadequate or CPU is
peaking, so that you can better manage your application and upgrade hardware
if necessary.
The Managed Server product can provide valuable information to you from day one.
- Ability to determine the status of servers from an external connection.
Status is working/slow/not working.
- Ability to determine if a server is reachable
- Collection of all syslog traffic from network elements and servers.
Generation of alarms based on string matches
- Collection of all SNMP trap traffic from network elements and servers.
Generation alarms based on OID matches
- Ability to determine traffic and error rates on a network element (router
and switch) interface. Generation of alarms on excess traffic or error
rates.
- Ability to sample RTT and packet loss for external networks to determine
how well connected you are. Generation of alarms if RTT or packet loss is
too high.
With Managed Servers, we will perform upgrades to hardware and patches to
operating systems in your designated maintenance window as long as all
change control criteria have been satisfied.
Managed Servers allows you to concentrate on your application without
worrying about the platform delivering it. Coupled with our Remote Hands
service, you won't even have to see a server.
