Managed Facilities

Harbour MSP employs the latest technology in its Data Centre. This gives you the best footing when deploying your infrastructure. Our Data Centre facilities include:
  • Multi-point smoke detection system to the technical area and sub floor. Centrally stored Inergen with risers to each technical space.
  • Redundant 33kV cable feeds from the local Energy Authority.11kV cabling reticulated to transformers on each level, arranged in parallel redundant configuration. Cabling originates from 11kV switchboards connected to direct diesel coupled rotary UPS systems providing continuous output.
  • Multiple Internet feeds to leading Internet backbone providers. All Tier 1 carriers have connections to the building.
  • Physical security, including a 24x7 security staff, video monitoring and revolving access doors with personnel trap for data centre access.
    • Entrance barriers controlling vehicle entry.

Managed Infrastrucure

Supporting the physical infrastructure, Harbour MSP maintains a Network Operations Center (NOC) where the company's dedicated staff maintain and monitor all network indicators. This constant care, management and monitoring gives you the reliability and availability you need to build your business.

Harbour MSP will agree with you, the level of service you expect. This agreement covers all services that you contract with Harbour MSP.

Harbour MSP can provide services from conditioned space and network connectivity right through to design, build, test and commissioning of servers.

Managed Services

Bandwidth

Harbour MSP can provide scalable cost effective IP bandwidth solutions to suit your exact requirements. We have redundant router connections to all major carriers.

Design and System Deployment

Harbour MSP offers a full design service from definition of requirements, through to preliminary and detailed design including project management and financial proposals. We can then deploy your system on any number of platforms and set up the necessary Internet management such as DNS and IP addresses.

Managed Servers

Harbour MSP's Managed Servers solutions deliver the highest level of managed hosting services to assure continuous high-performance and system availability. Services include:
  • Updating of operating systems patches and service packs
  • System administration functions such as tape restore, server reboots, add/delete passwords, DNS and IP address changes.
  • Database administration.
  • Problem investigation and resolution.
Monitoring: Harbour MSP monitor, manage and report on each server that is to be managed by the Harbour MSP Service Assurance Centre. Harbour MSP set monitoring thresholds for the metrics below or as specified by the customer:
  • Availability (based on best metric, e.g., monitor HTTP process).
  • CPU utilisation.
  • Memory utilisation.
  • Network utilisation for each server network interface.
  • Disk utilisation (physical and logical).
Harbour MSP notify the customer when thresholds are exceeded. Thresholds are determined during the Service Level Definition phase of the contract.

With our Remote Hands Service, it is easy to restart a server should your application stall or fail.
