The Singapore data centre opened in 2009 in the Global Switch facility, which is located in one of the city's main technology districts near Changi International Airport.

Like all Global Switch facilities, it is very reliable, having never suffered a failure since opening in 2001. The data centre benefits from all of the major international cable systems landing in the facility.
